Talaris’ Secure Transfer Concept (STC) enhances our industry-leading Vertera cash recycler with secure cash transfer capability: cash may be removed from the machine, with total audit control, and without opening the safe or exposing cash publicly.

STC is ideal for sites where cash flows which do not “perfectly balance” in a single TCR - locations with intense intra-day cash movements or mixed cash-positive and -negative windows.

STC-enhanced cash management provides a fully audited, hands-off process to off-load cash from Vertera TCRs. In a single step, cash transfers from the TCR to a secure cassette or deposit bag. Cassettes may be reused on-site in Talaris TCDs, or multi-denomination cassettes/bags can be packaged with secure manifests for transport. STC improves TCR capacity, teller efficiency and customer service.

In retail Remote Deposit Capture applications, bank deposits are fully audited, tamper evident and always secure. Safes are never opened during cash transfer. TCR functionality allows for deposits, till generation and change making at all hours.

STC fits all STC-enabled Verteras, including our new small-footprint Vertera Compact, another powerful new tool for retailers and banks. Thales payShield 9000 now brings world class data center features to the payment HSM market by enhancing device resiliency and management which are of special importance in secure data center environments. It is the first payment HSM to offer dual power supplies and dual Ethernet connectivity providing high availability for mission-critical payment systems as well as utilization statistics and health check reporting to enable operational efficiency by providing HSM loading information and analysis of specific operations within the HSM. Utilization data can be provided over a period of time, or as an instantaneous value over just a few seconds, enabling the identification of potential bottlenecks well in advance. The data, which can be presented graphically or accessed in multiple manners including SNMP, can also be used to identify potential improper use of the HSM. With payment card issuers and mobile application providers recognizing the value of HSMs for protection of keys and sensitive operations as part of an overall risk management approach, payShield 9000 also offers data preparation and personalization for chip card issuance, which now includes support for MULTOS and MULTOS step/one. Support for personalization of cards, or provisioning of mobile devices, is based on EMVco and Global Platform standards enabling payShield 9000 to be used for a variety of card issuing tasks linked to EMV contact cards, contactless cards or mobile payment devices compliant with the Common Personalization process. The personalization functionality enables compliance with risk management guidelines for service providers, including trusted service managers (TSMs).
