Research Team Bios

Driving BAI Research programs is a team of experienced financial services research professionals with in-depth understanding of the industry.  These individuals know the impact an integrated view of the marketplace brings to strategic and tactical planning.

Joe Agostinelli  Joe Agostinelli, Senior Analyst
Joe is responsible for the design of primary research methodologies and the management of external research suppliers. He is also responsible for in-depth analysis of research data, the preparation of research reports and articles, and the presentation of findings to end clients. Prior to joining BAI, Joe spent four years in the market research industry and another four years in the financial services industry. Joe received an MBA in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  
Kim Baker  Kim Baker, Director of Marketing
Kim is responsible for the marketing of BAI’s research, solutions provider services, and online channels. Prior to joining BAI in 2007, she held various marketing positions in treasury management and foreign exchange at ABN Amro Services Company and has over 15 years of marketing experience in financial services. Kim has a bachelor of science in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, Indiana.
 
Dong Bing  Dong Bing, Data Analyst
Dong is responsible for the production and the development of BAI’s Pulse studies. Prior to BAI, Dong was a data analyst at AT&T responsible for originating revenue & production metric reports for contract management. Dong holds an MBA and a MISM from the Keller Graduate School of Management at Devry University and a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Augustana College.
Deneen  Mary Deneen, Project Manager
Mary manages daily activities for BAI's research group. Her responsibilities include coordinating multiple research events, providing economic and company data as needed, and handling daily client interaction. Before BAI, Mary spent several years in a sales and marketing capacity within the health insurance industry. 
Drogos  Tom Drogos, Senior Account Manager
Tom manages client relationships for BAI Benchmarking and syndicated research projects within the top 100 US banks. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Tom has held senior positions at leading research and advisory services firms. He earned a master’s of science degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Chicago. 
Gamauf  Mike Gamauf, Senior Account Manager
Mike is responsible for client relationship management not only for benchmarking programs, but also research projects. Prior to joining BAI, he worked in client relationship roles with CCC, General Electric, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton LLP and brings over 20 years of experience to the organization. Spring Hill College graduated Mike in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He has also hosted many events to support multiple charities, such as, the American Cancer Society, the Western Golf Association and higher education. 
Hoey  Sandra Hoey, Director of Software Development
Sandra is responsible for the benchmarking data infrastructure and report development. Prior to BAI, Sandra was a senior manager at Accenture working on large-scale CRM database development as well as implementing customer insight, customer segmentation and predictive modeling solutions for financial services and telecom institutions. She holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. 
Hoscheidt  Tom Hoscheidt, Managing Director
Tom directs BAI's performance benchmarking line of business. He brings over 20 years of financial services marketing to BAI— expertise in such areas as primary research, consulting and benchmarking. He holds an MBA from Illinois State University and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University. 
Jim Hughes  Jim Hughes, Director of Content Delivery
Jim is responsible for the report development and presentation of BAI's benchmarking programs.  Prior to joining BAI, he held line of business leadership responsibilities for management teams in Retail and Small Business Banking.  Jim has worked for several institutions in Chicago and Texas including; American National Bank, TCF National Bank, First National Bank of Texas and PNC Bank and brings over 23 years of financial service experience to the organization.  Jim has a bachelor of science from Eastern Illinois University and is a graduate of the ABA’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
 Jason Mencias Jason Mencias, Senior Analyst
Jason is the lead analyst responsible for mining BAI Research data in order to provide industry insights and answer key questions posed by research program sponsors. He also provides sales and servicing support for the BAI Research suite of products. Jason has spent his entire career in the financial services and banking industries holding several management positions in research, project management and marketing. He earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University.
Jorge Mora  Jorge Mora, Senior Developer 
Jorge is responsible for the production and development of BAI’s benchmarking studies. Prior to BAI, Jorge was a manager at Coventry Health Care working on development, reporting and analysis of financial and medical data. He also worked at Open Solutions (Raddon Financial Group) where he held a Sr. Financial Analyst position working on product development, reporting and analysis for Banks and Credit Unions. Jorge holds a bachelor's degree in Operations Management and Information Systems from Northern Illinois University. 
Nagarkatte  Ajay Nagarkatte, Managing Director
Ajay leads BAI Research and is also responsible for developing strategic initiatives. Besides his experience at BAI, he has several years of senior-level strategic advisory experience focusing on financial institutions, having held positions at KPMG, ZEFER and CapGemini (formerly Ernst & Young Consulting). Prior to that, he spent several years in the insurance and mutual fund sectors. He received an MBA (Honors) in Strategy and Economics from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in Operations Research from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Riddle  Mark Riddle, Director
Mark is responsible for the report development and presentation of BAI's benchmarking programs. Prior to joining BAI, he held consulting and sales positions with Open Solutions, Deluxe Corporation and various Chicago area banks and brings over 20 years of experience to the organization. Mark received an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago and a bachelor of science in Finance from Southern Illinois University.
  Jatin Samani, Research Manager
Jatin is primarily responsible for production of benchmarking studies and report development as well as client services. He also has several years of research, product development, and marketing management experience having held management positions at multiple banks in the Chicago area. He also worked at Raddon Financial Group where he held client services and research positions. Jatin holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
