Plug and Play logoNew this year is a strategic content alliance with Plug and Play Tech Center to facilitate innovation and idea-generation at BAI Beacon 2017.

BAI’s collaboration with Plug and Play will expose conference attendees to the latest FinTech trends and inventions. In addition, as part of this alliance, Plug and Play has hand-selected six companies to participate at BAI Beacon 2017. These companies’ innovations reflect key areas of interest that will be covered by the conference content including, A.I., customer experience, cybersecurity and FinTech for community-based banking organizations.

Meet the Plug and Play Executives

Scott Robinson Plug and PlayScott Robinson, Vice President and Founder

Scott Robinson is the founder and vice president of Plug and Play FinTech, the financial technology focused startup innovation platform in partnership with BNP Paribas, Santander, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, TD Bank, Sberbank, USAA, Mitsubishi, Capital One, Sumitomo, Intuit and many more global financial institutions.

Since the launch of the program in February 2015, Scott and his team have accelerated over 90 FinTech startups and has led numerous investments into the domain. Scott has worked with Plug and Play, a global startup accelerator headquartered in Silicon Valley, for the past three years managing a number of FinTech, Blockchain, and Bitcoin-related initiatives.

Additionally, Scott is the founder of Plug and Play Bitcoin, the co-organizer of the world’s oldest Bitcoin Meetup and founder of the first nationally syndicated Bitcoin Job Fair. Prior to joining Plug and Play, Scott worked in various roles with a number of early stage startups where he led fundraising, product development and marketing activities.

Sahil Arora Plug and PlaySahil Arora, FinTech Ventures Associate

Sahil Arora is a FinTech Associate at Plug & Play Ventures. His role is focused on finding and working closely with innovative startups disrupting financial services. Sahil represents the startup's best interests and provides strategic advice and relevant introductions to corporations and investors.

Prior to joining Plug & Play, Sahil worked in product strategy for Credit Cards and Payments at The Royal Bank of Canada. He also held prior roles in consumer financial services and SME consulting. Sahil graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business with his Honours Business Administration degree in 2014. He is an active member of the tech community in Silicon Valley and Toronto.
