Human capital innovation is an important area for banks and credit unions to focus on as they compete for top talent in the market. Citizens is one bank leading the way in this area. They saw an opportunity to improve the candidate experience by leveraging chatbot technology and created Jamie, a virtual career assistant that delivers efficiencies and new capabilities throughout the recruitment process.

BAI recognized this innovation by awarding the 2020 BAI Global Innovation Award for Human Capital to Citizens.

I had the opportunity to speak with Susan LaMonica, EVP and chief human resource officer at Citizens, about the journey to bring Jamie to life and how Citizens plans to continue innovating around talent management in the future.

We are now collecting nominations for the 2021 BAI Global Innovation Awards. Taking part in the industry’s leading showcase for innovation is a great way to highlight your impactful new ideas. Submit today!
